Simply Wall St has undergone a significant evolution, moving from a research platform to a Portfolio Command Center. This shift represents a fundamental change in our product and brand, designed to give stock investors the ultimate control room for managing their wealth.

Our content team is how we bring that world to life beyond the product. We don't aim to compete with mainstream financial mastheads on dry "here's what happened" reporting. Our ambition is to excel on judgment, original framing, and thought leadership that helps everyday investors understand what it actually means.

We're hiring someone who can deliver content in written and video form: write sharp, timely investment analysis and deliver it on camera. Same voice. Same authority. Different formats. You'll be the recognizable face and writer behind our most direct investment perspective—the person investors trust to cut through noise and explain what actually matters.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

WRITE WITH SPEED AND ORIGINAL INSIGHT

- Publish weekly articles responding to market events, earnings and possibly shine the spotlight on certain companies of interest.

- Gather information on newsworthy topics globally and craft original—often contrarian—ideas that distinguish Simply Wall St from run-of-the-mill financial news.

DELIVER ON CAMERA, WEEKLY

- Present one long-form YouTube video per week (roughly 4 per month), going deep on a stock, sector, or investing theme.

- Interview Executives from listed companies for video content in addition to the regular weekly videos.

- Take scripts grounded in real analysis and deliver them as videos people actually want to watch. Bring natural, conversational delivery—landing the hook, the emotional beats, and the call to action without sounding like you're reading.

- Sustain energy, clarity, and personality across longer runtime, where holding attention matters more than a punchy hook.

- Bring credibility and warmth to often-dense material—make it feel like a conversation, not a lecture.

- Work from scripts written by yourself or by our editorial team.

BUILD YOUR PRESENCE ACROSS BOTH FORMATS

- Be the recognizable face and voice that builds audience trust and habit-forming engagement across YouTube, articles, and community. Help build our on-camera presence into a recognizable authority for retail investors.

- Develop a personal brand as a trusted investment voice while serving Simply Wall St's broader mission. Your credibility serves both.

- Film on a predictable weekly cadence to support a steady publishing schedule. Work collaboratively with our editorial and video production teams, incorporating feedback quickly.

- Be comfortable with a channel and publication in build mode—evolving format, early days, real input into what works.

WHO YOU ARE

- 3 to 5+ years writing about markets, investing, or finance, ideally for a consumer or investor audience. Existing on-camera experience in any sector.

- Deep global market fluency. You follow the global news cycle closely, understand earnings season, and know what actually moves stocks.

- An experienced stock investor. You understand fundamental analysis, portfolio management, and how long-term investors think, so you can write and speak credibly for an investing audience.

- Comfortable talking about stocks and markets on camera—you need to understand the material well enough that talking on camera doesn't sound rehearsed.

- Familiarity with long-form YouTube conventions—pacing, structure, holding attention over 10–15+ minutes.

- Self-editing and reliable. You run your own pipeline with light oversight and deliver on schedule (fast when it counts).

- Comfortable adopting AI tools to research and produce faster, without letting your voice disappear into them.
