Who we are

marketingjobs.fyi is a job alert service for marketing professionals in Australia, operated as a solo project by Mitch, based in Sydney. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site and why.

What we collect

Account information. If you sign up for alerts, we collect your email address and, if you use Google sign-in, your name and profile image as provided by Google. We use Google OAuth and email magic links (via Resend) to authenticate you. We never see or store your password.

Alert preferences. Seniority levels, role types, locations, and companies you choose to be alerted about, plus jobs you save or have been sent.

Usage analytics. We use PostHog to understand how the site is used (pages viewed, features used) and Sentry to catch and diagnose errors. Neither is used to sell your data or to advertise to you elsewhere.

Cookies. We set a cookie to remember your light/dark theme preference and, if you're signed in, a session cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

How we use it

We use your information to send you job alert emails matching your preferences, to let you manage those preferences, and to operate and improve the site. We do not sell your personal information to third parties, and we do not share it with recruiters or employers without your explicit action (for example, clicking through to apply for a role on a company's own careers page).

Who we share it with

We use a small number of service providers to run the site. Each one processes data only on our behalf, only for the purpose listed below, and none of them can use it for their own marketing or sell it on:

• Google: if you choose Google sign-in, to authenticate you.
• Resend: to deliver magic-link sign-in emails and job alert emails.
• PostHog: usage analytics (pages viewed, features used).
• Sentry: error tracking, to catch and fix bugs.
• Supabase and Vercel: database and application hosting.

We do not share your data with any other party, including the companies whose job listings appear on the site, unless you take an action that inherently does so (e.g. clicking "Apply" takes you to that company's own careers page, outside marketingjobs.fyi).

Where job listings come from

The job listings shown on marketingjobs.fyi are sourced directly from public company careers pages and their applicant tracking systems (e.g. Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday). We link out to the company's own application page for every role. We do not collect or process your job application itself.

Third-party assistants and integrations

marketingjobs.fyi job search is also available as a tool inside AI assistants such as ChatGPT. When you search for jobs through one of these integrations, we process the search terms you provide the same way as a search made directly on the site, to return matching results. We do not receive your identity or account details from the assistant unless you separately sign in to marketingjobs.fyi.

Data retention and deletion

Account and alert preference data is kept for as long as your account is active, and deleted within 30 days of a deletion request.

Analytics events and error logs (PostHog and Sentry) are retained for up to 12 months, then automatically removed under those providers' standard retention settings.

Job listing data itself contains no personal information about you. It's sourced from public company careers pages.

You control this data at any time: unsubscribe from alert emails using the link in every email, edit your alert preferences from your account, or request full deletion of your account and associated data by emailing hey@updates.marketingjobs.fyi.

Children's privacy

marketingjobs.fyi is intended for working professionals and is not directed at children under 16.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "last updated" date above.
